1.Overview. Movita Ride is a mobile application designed to help users record routes and report road hazards to improve safety for all road users.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using Movita Ride, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2.Information. We Collect:

a) Account Information. When you create or log into an account, we collect your:

  • Email address
  • Password (securely handled via Firebase Authentication)
  • Unique user ID (UID)

b) Location Data. If you use features like “Add Hazard” or “Use My Location”, we collect your approximate or precise location (latitude/longitude) only while you use the app.

c) Hazard and Route Data. When you save routes or hazards, we store:

  • Type of hazard (e.g. pothole)
  • Location coordinates (lat/lng)
  • Timestamp
  • Your Firebase UID

d) Device Data (automatically collected). We may collect limited technical data for app performance, such as:

  • Device model, OS version
  • App version
  • Anonymous crash or usage statistics (via Firebase Analytics and Sentry)

3. How We Use the Information. We use collected data to:

  • Provide and improve app functionality
  • Display user-generated hazards and routes
  • Authenticate users and manage sessions
  • Diagnose crashes and performance issues
  • Communicate essential updates or bug fixes

4. Data Sharing. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties. Data is stored and processed securely via Google Firebase, in compliance with their Privacy Policy. 

5. Data Retention. We retain your data only as long as necessary to operate the app and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us at: info@safemove.rs. 

5a. Account and Data Deletion. If you wish to permanently delete your Movita Ride account and all associated data (including routes, hazards, and profile information), you can submit a deletion request at:

Requests will be processed within 30 days.Once processed, your account and associated data will be permanently deleted from Firebase Authentication and Firestore Database.

6. Security. All data is transmitted securely using HTTPS and stored on Firebase servers with strong access controls.

7. Your Rights. Under GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Request export of your stored data.

8. Third-Party Services. Movita Ride uses:

  • Firebase Authentication & Firestore (for user and data storage)
  • Firebase Analytics (for anonymous usage tracking)
  • Sentry (for crash reporting, optional).

9. Children’s Privacy. Movita Ride is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. 

10. Changes to This Policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at https://safemove.rs/Movita Ride Privacy with a new “Last updated” date.
